January 25, 2010 training Meeting

Our Training meeting went very well with a great turnout.
1) We set up a hose maze in our bays with 500' of line weaving through several obsticals, changing out the type of hose to see if anyone would notice the change, and several did notice. Everyone was in full turnout gear including SCBAs. The lights were off and everyones masks were covered to try to create a true interior night time enviroment.

2) Hose practice. We took our trucks and set it up as if we were at a fire useing 2 1/2" and 1 1/2" lines to fight a fire. The training tonight was to show the newer members what it felt like to be "squirting water". We also were showing and refreshing everyone on the operation of the trucks, and driving the trucks.
